The Classy

駱盈茵 | 聖嘉勒女書院

In ancient China, the colour of clothing and the clothes you wore was as a way to designate an
individual’s rank. I chose the late Qing dynasty’s fashion as my inspiration was because their fashion was starting to influence by foreign countries. The idea for the outfit is “classy vibe”. There is a classic look of a dress shirt paired with long pants and a trench coat. There is a red short sleeved tang suit with dragon patterns. The buttons are replaced with traditional Chinese knots. I was also inspired by Robert Wun’s “Murder for spring” design, I incorporated the silk fabric inside the coat dropping down to mimic big long robes of Hanfu and also add “flowiness” to the outfit.
